And yet nothing will happen.

And yet nothing will happen.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what does the popular vote actually matter? It's all about those electoral votes, and the electoral voters are not bound to vote for whoever wins the popular vote. That's called being a "Faithless Elector," true, but the electoral votes are the only ones that actually matter. All this crying about the popular vote, even after all this time, just shifts the narrative to "We SHOULD do away with the electoral vote. After all, that's what even those dumb fuck trump-tards want" which would give Liberal enclaves such as California and New York de facto control over the US.

Not to mention that it further enforces the "Democracy" BS when this is supposed to be a Republic. Democratic Republic, true, but a Republic nonetheless. It's still giving them an inch.

That's a fair point. I think what they are trying to say here is that if the popular vote was recorded properly then the electoral votes would have been different.

Which is complete horseshit, because again Faithless electors are a thing and have happened in the past. The only thing it would have done is make it impossible for the media to say "Most voted for president in history, folks!" over and over again. It might have given precedent to people saying "No one wanted him" maybe, but that wouldn't matter. Because in that timeline, they'd be going "You wanted the electoral college, bigots, not our fault it didn't go in your favor" like the faggots the left are.

I thought about this months ago, but I never see it brought up in any case. Why would having the votes properly counted for anything beyond state/local level make a difference when it's not actually decided by the (retarded) masses? People seem to have forgot that the popular vote is literally a non-deciding popularity contest, and that supposedly Hillary won it in '16 but Trump still won the electoral vote?
