Perhaps it is mostly superficial. What would you call this "proto-Gnosticism"? Because saying "Gnostic" makes it sound like it originated with Greeks and Christians.
Paganism. Satanism is paganism evoked.
Well, Paganism is a broad spectrum and would include a variety of ideas from basic animism, to shamanism, and so on. I would prefer something that specifically addresses the esoteric paradigm that is found in Kabbalah and gnostic cults/ sects.
What would you say is the anti-thesis, which Christian sect or interpretation is the correct one, in your view?
Egyptian is a dead language. Id just go with mystery cult. They all came from one original.
Any insular or orthodox sect. Some hermit in a cave reading the texts is probably more on track than most of the sects these days. What do you think?
