Well… It says vaccine passport for the French thing, but here in Germany, we have effectively the same thing.
Creepy testing site tents less than every hundred metres; to do anything (dunno about restaurants), you need a negative test, a vaxx or proof of recovery.
Health care workers were forced to vaccinate this winter already.
The French I know aren't really submissive… but this is concerning. Here, in their neighbouring country, everyone wears masks in every business. No exceptions. That's what I see with my own eyes. Me and my father defied last year for a while, but an old man called security and… we just laughed at him and went on. But later on they forced us to wear FFP2 masks and actual security staff was stationed at malls, you can see a female cop couple make the rounds around each store here daily and it's sickening. At our local store, I had a small chat with a disgruntled clerk. If only, one day, the government goofs up hard and everyone tosses their masks away… preferably before the elections…
We already managed to shut down a big business from building an outlet here to protect our local shops, I think we can do this.
When Amazon and co. drive out the competition, that is when we will live in the idiocracy.

Just to walk down the road or to enter a business or large venue? Can you go grocery shopping?

They’re doing that in certain states in the US along with police, fire and corrections officers.
Grocery shops are fine and this summer enforcement is relaxed; so in the streets there does seem to be some kind of mass deviance, apart from ~10% of weirdos.
The last time it was this relaxed in the streets, it was just before we were forced to wear medical masks and drop the fabric ones, around November.
Many users here predicted they'd relax things in summer, to keep people from snapping with football and olympics.
But this wouldn't be the first time things looked more normal and suddenly, the next day we get stopped when entering a grocery store with mere fabric masks or nothing/a scarf in the case of my little brother and told to wear more expensive FFP2 masks… Which worked before for half a year.
Apparently, Saxony is the first state to lift the mask requirement in every public building since March 2020, but the usual suspects seem to shut that down.
We turned on ZDF one day, one of our main state TV channels, and they with their experts did everything to convince that kids at school still need to wear masks at all times. A few weeks ago, they lifted the requirement at some schools (only in class rooms duh, and they still have to go all they way to open windows every 15 minutes) Now they apparently need to get force tested as well, I wonder if it's just suspicious students or everyone because that's like 500 tests daily per school… As the school year ends this month, many students just don't appear for class. Last year, everyone was able to pass to next school year, and we had "homeschooling" (digital zoom classes, some teachers want it with camera, that don't allow anyone else in the room of the student) this whole year at erratic times; some exams got cancelled this December just because muh third wave and were held for different topics months later. You know what that's doing with the students, many families are at a loss… Three out of twenty students in a class dominate the online lessons, the others can't even take school seriously anymore, yeah.
Here, "homeschooling" isn't really a thing. If you are some kind of celebrity, you may get expensive private teachers to instruct the kid, but usually you need to visit a school physically with no absence of more than ~2 months each year.
I have _never_ actually heard of anyone getting homeschooled in Germany.
tl;dr every business where you don't idle in doesn't require any of your data, others require address phone number, name and since businesses were opened after a period of december-march, coof status also needs to be confirmed

What do you consider deviance? I once pulled up in an Uber to a bar/restaurant with my friends who were celebrating their anniversary. When we pulled up the Uber driver asked “are you sure this is the place” I looked out the window and a homeless guy was sitting on the curb five feet from the main door getting a blow job from some homeless woman lmao. We’re like yeah, this is the place.

What’s relaxed mean, crime, sex, drugs etc?

I was one, give the peasants some illusion of freedom before they get locked in for another 9 months to 1.5.

We usually get a few days warning, “masks will be required May 30th” and it was a few days before. We never needed medical masks, I know people who’ve worn mesh and lace masks and have never been sick or stopped from entering.

I didn’t make it to saxony when I was there but did see other parts. I thought it was just an American thing but it seems to be the west in general(Germany, France and Belgium where I was). But most people don’t have a sense of urgency or take pride in their work, they’re just there and do the minimum required.

I think most schools here are mandating masks still(school restarts in a month or two depending on your state). And vaccines for most colleges and universities(also depends on the state).

Same here, we want to indoctrinate your child in private please. I think some kids got suspended from online school for this, wearing pajamas or being distracted. I can’t remember it all anymore, in clown world it’s too hard to remember every clown act.

Weird, here there’s online schools, I know one you have meet ups with your class every few weeks(pre-lockdown) and another one where it’s just online, do the work and get the grade you have 18 weeks to complete your classes, you can do it as fast or as slow as you want.
There’s a lot of white kids around here that have switched to online schooling because of the influx of mexicans/gangs. The local high schools used to have a 1-2% drop out rate, it’s now 30+% and they keep dumping money in but mexican kids aren’t smart enough, so just dump more money at the problem.
Meanwhile all the good students have been forced out because of the violence. Including Spanish, Puerto Rican’s, etc have been forced out with violence also, I don’t know which Hispanic countries are allowed at this point besides mexicans but the schools are crazy and the staff turn a blind eye if you’re illegal or mexican.
If you complain, you’re the problem, so most parents have pulled their kids out. But since covid there’s waiting lists to get into the official online schools. Maybe they’ve hired more staff since then, I haven’t kept up.
