Why cant you keep your fucking mouth shut about it?
When I became vegan, I hid it for 1 year. Sharing food, eating out with people, having dinner with people, it'ss all too important to socialization. I can't avoid it. Especially when 90% of the time, other people bring it up.
"So, would you eat roadkill?" I hear that every Thanksgiving.
I never really gave a lot of weight to the social aspect of feeling the need to broadcast it, but you cant deny the bonds that come from sitting down sharing the same food.
Poor Vegans only really getting that bond from other vegans, and lets be honest they are not often the better crowd to bond with.
Sad shit is, other than family members, I've never met another vegan I got along with. But that's more-so about politics and not their personality.
