Many, if not all, persons are born with an innate desire to do something meaningful with their lives. There is a tragic phenomenon occurring right now in which many of these people feel disenfranchised because unlike in generations past, they do not know which land to discover, which cause to fight for, or which invention to create. Veganism is an emerging frontier which gives hope to anyone searching to quench the unrelenting desire to do something meaningful. Billions of animals every single year are desperately waiting for a hero to save them, one who is not afraid of public opinion or of being a social outcast. They are waiting for each and every one of us to be the hero we so innately desire to be, but which has been so indoctrinated out of us since our very first meal.

What is it about animals that makes it okay to kill them? If humans had this trait too, would it then be okay to kill humans?

You hinted at "personal choice" as the trait, so if I wanted to murder someone because it's my personal choice, would that be okay?

You can do whatever you choose. My faith may waiver but I generally consider "free will" to be a god given right. Some people need killing and most religions make exceptions for times of war if you read the fine print.

It doesn't matter if I think it's okay if it's okay to you and some decisions come with consequences. Such is life.

Let's get to the real issue. You're portraying your diet as a form of heroism. Maybe in your mind you are. Me personally... don't care.

To a degree that is how morality works unfortunately. I'm no cultural relativist and believe some are superior to others. Bacha Bazi Muslim fucks in afghanistan and pakistan think what they do is moral. You're here virtue signalling for chipmunks over children though so carry on. The rest of the civilized world has priorities and ranks them accordingly.
