Arizona is just a train wreck I've been learning. I've spent a lot of time here but usually out in the wilderness. When I got to go into town to supply up or whatever that my town run requires I can't wait to get the fuck out and back to the woods.
Demographics have changed across the state. She ain’t what she used to be that’s for sure. Arizona outback is the place to be. Wildflowers this year are incredible.
Currently I'm off of I-40 and there aren't any up here it's freezing as all hell. But I have a couple of buddies who are down in the Tucson and Phoenix areas and the pictures they're sending are just unbelievable. On my drive down from the Hoover dam towards Kingman I saw the the green wave and then the huge patches of yellow and purple and red flowers everywhere, totally amazing.
Lol, I’ve been a desert rat so long I risk hypothermia opening the fridge so you won’t catch me anywhere near the I-40 corridor until July.
We’ve had some good rains in the desert this year so it could be a banner year for flowers. Something that’s been rare for the last thirty some years. Hopefully spring will remain mild so it lasts. The colors against the greening are amazing.
There’s always the concern for wildfires once the summer sun cooks off all that beauty. We’ve had some nasty ones even without much flowering.
