I have an induction forge. It’ll heat a 1” round bar into a sparking white hot in less than 60 seconds. 1/2” round bar in about 30 seconds. A time and energy saver, but has limitations since it’s a coil you pass the metal through. Coil size and metal size relationship are important to get to forging heat. You can also melt gold or silver down using a coil wrapped around a crucible. They’re pretty cool.
