I recall Juden Peterson talking several years ago in a video about postmodernism/neo-marxism and mentioning the rise of intersectional feminism and how theoretically, intersectionality should allow us to reveal the infinite variety of human experiences and return to the individual as a common denominator.
In the book Cynical Theories Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay discuss this point as well but clarify that Intersectionality, instead of being a subtractive process (as reason would argue), it is being used as an additive process - heaping opressed or opressing atributes onto people to create a profile, like a scorecard.

Yes, postmodernism is all about controlling the conversation via (amongst other things) confusing language.
You should read Cynical Theories. It does a great job of explaining the path from postmodernism's origins and meaningless, ironic wordplay to the canonized pseudo-religion of the social justice disciplines.
i'd really rather that you give me the highlights of Cynical Theories. see, i spent years in higher education as a student. (i was offered free rides to law school/grad schools a few times.) i've been made to study philosophy and sociology, criminal and constitutional law and some education. i managed to get a couple useless degrees because i knew what was coming down the road, and i refuse to engage in the delusions and the drama. i got lost.
i'm tired. i am being worn down like a present-day toddler who has no baseline. i am become the definition of "rigid." i cannot or will not process by my own reasoning any more nuance of babble and terms. my mind has been overloaded. and i come here for the humor and the shared outrage.
i just feel so completely powerless to change anything for the better, and i long for the day when words stop and action commences. at this point, i think that i would be thrown in jail for the violence i might commit on someone who uses the word "intersectionality" in all earnestness to my face. i don't want to put the energy into trying to understand anything that comes from modern theories. i want it all mocked and tore down. destroyed.
our minds are being cleaved and our souls tossed into a grinder.
