A pandemic can quite obviously exist without piles of dead bodies. A very deadly pandemic that requires draconian laws and restrictions on civil liberties in order to contain it does require at least some excess death in order to justify. The Spanish flu killed 50 million globally from a population of under 2 billion. A global death toll of 2.5 million from a population of nearly 8 billion does not justify the reactions we have witnessed.
Oh, did it? Like in 100 years you're going to read how many died due to "corona virus" and quote that as fact?
