Yeah I think I agree with this now. I used to be in favor of term limits even in the recent past. Simply because I figured it would be a better way to put people in who might actually have a service mindset - if any of them even exist anymore. But we can fix that by auditing their finances and aggressively punishing the wrong types of fundraising and then illuminating and prosecuting people who use the position to enrich themselves in ways that hurt our nation. I don’t mind someone making money if people truly want to, say, buy their book or hear their speeches or whatever. But we know what’s really happening. We all do. It’s an issue that should not be subjected to the left/right paradigm. Everyone should be on board with getting rid of dishonest fucks.
