Wait, there were a dozen different ways to not kidnap him in the first place and not force myself to choose between supporting a basement prisoner and becoming a murderer? That's too hard, reeeeee!

I grasp what you were getting at (a potential mother who'd kill her child would make a shitty mother if she brought it to term). What I elaborated upon is that the type of mother who's that lacking in empathy (or morality...) is the type of person who should be legally regarded the same as a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-esque kidnapper.

That makes more sense now and I agree. We would be a lot better of if instead of abortion clinics we had sterilization clinics.
