A friend got hit in the eyebrow by "a sharp rock" while mowing the lawn. A few hours later, he was in the hospital with a swollen half a head. (swollen on one side, not half his head missing and the other...nevermind). The x-ray showed a wire, like you close a loaf of bread with, only like 2 gauges thicker, lodged in that skull socket behind your eyeball. It was a skillful operation and he fully recovered, but you never know. You just got lucky. That hunk of steel could have killed you.
Could have, didn't, thank God. Every moment could be your last, it's just usually more subtle than this.
That's probably the most amazing thing about life... any moment can be your last.
I'd disagree. The most amazing part of life is the ability to bring a new life into this world, watch it's carefree exploration of all that is right and natural, and watch as reality steals the youthful light from their eyes
