Fair enough. My own German name gets looks from people who assume I'm Jewish. While living in Britain in 1978, I went to Germany to research my family at my father's request. Had a great time with long lost relatives there who told me that we are actually descendants of Assyrians who moved to Germany upon the collapse of the ancient Assyrian empire. Cool story that I can partially verify in this Internet age:

Legend has it that Trier was founded (long time before the Romans arrived) by Trebeta, the stepson of the Assyrian Queen Semiramis. Ante Romam Treveris stetit annis mille trecentis which means "Trier stood 1300 years before Rome". This inscription can be found on the facade of the Red House, and it was also mentioned in the Gesta Treverorum, the history deed from the Middle Ages

Wait, are Assyrians sand-niggers?

Sand Niggers implies Arab blood. The Arabs conquered the Middle East after 600 AD. Trier is Germany’s oldest city as, in 2,000 B.C. the Assyrians established a settlement here.

So, no.

Figured. Was never sure of their origins. Were they related to Scythians, or other Aryans?
