She's taking that honeysuckle home to use it to hopefully mask the stench of their shanty hovel. The past isn;t this glorious warm golden place we all want to return to, it had flaws bro.

oh for sure - 100%. People stank, disease was awful, there was no social safety net, life was massively impacted by weather. But life was largely at your hands, and you had the freedom to shape it how you wanted.

If i could pick any time to go back to, though, 40s and 50s would've been the golden age.

For me it would be 1960. Then I'd start punting beatniks in the rump.
