Amazon must have a fetish for ruining good fantasy content. They did it with LOTRs and WoT too? Fuck them. I watched half of the first episode of WoT and it was shit. I could tell it was going to be shit within the first 5 minutes. The author is very descriptive of how he describes the women's clothing. Moiraine, like most women in the novels, is wearing dresses. Yet in the series she is wearing pants. Like wtf... I can already tell this is going to be trash.

It's annoying because a good adaptation of these novels would be awesome and could run for many many seasons given the length of the series, but no, they had to fucking ruin it.

One of the worst adaptations ever. From the casting on, it was terribly done. Great book series, though.

I'm halfway though "The Shadow Rising" not there yet.

The worst part is when they're looking for the Bowl of the Winds or whatever it's called. 90% of that book could be cut with no detriment to the story.

The good news is once you're past that lull it just keeps getting better.

From the casting on

The race mixing was really bad. In the books it was clear that people from different areas looked different. Game of Thrones did this right. I don't see how that is so hard to get right. Another issue was the over sexualization.

I'm halfway through "The Shadow Rising" and I've been enjoying it.
