Up until the 1970s, natives were pulled out of their homes when they turned 5 or 6 and taken to residential schools across Canada (run by the Catholic Church, paid for by the government of Canada). They were beaten, tortured, starved and killed to try and make them lose their culture. The youngest survivors of this are in their 40s right now. They told people about this for decades and it was swept under the rug and nobody listened because they were "just stories made up by drunk Indians". Now the bodies are coming out and they're all kids. Now people are listening.
Oh no! How dare anyone try and civilize who have been graciously allowed to live in conquered territory rather than simply killed in the first place like the vast majority of races would have done in our position.
You have a very valid point, however:
They had treaties and their reserves were to be recognized as individual nations. The borders were crossed to make this happen.
They didn't even excavate the sites. You're just spreading lies.
