Those are weather models like GFS and NAM. Those are not climate models.
Forecasting does in fact use climate simulations. That doesn't mean all forecasting does. Most forecasting pushing more than a week into the future, generally does use climate models.
Your comment doesn't changes my statement nor its accuracy.
Which specific forecasting models use climate modeling?
I'm out of my depth but have had specific discussions with climatologists and weather men. They all consistently told me most forecasting more than a week out use climate models.
This is in fact backed by several climate papers I've read over the years. As well as several articles on climatology simulation research.
In short, I trust all available evidence and personal experience over some random's feelings which are hurt simply because I'm parroting people who use the software and research with it.
Now if you have research which contradicts all current personal experience and the word of actual climatologist and research papers, I welcome it.
