The Nazi intelligence apparatus led by Reinhard Gehlen in Eastern Europe was subsumed by the OSS to create the CIA. Literally left intact with all their intelligence networks. Those same intelligence networks are what are operating the Ukraine right now. They are also the fountain of information that the US has used for Soviet and later Russian intelligence for the last 80 years.

So denazification is exactly the right term for it.

They are German Nazis that have remained Nazis for 80 years. Their intelligence networks must have comprised people of all types from Eastern Europe.
