I think you're making fun of me posting after a couple scotches :)

I inherited my grandfather's bulova when I graduated college. It was what he wore every day of his professional life, and is really what got me interested in watches. The things he'd done with the watch on his wrist....

Watches are neat. I don't think I've looked at mine to know the time in 15 years, but I don't wear it for the time anymore. It's history and ingenuity and precision and craftsmanship and jewelry

How do you feel about fountain pens? That’s another anachronistic technology that I really appreciate…. In an age of digital everything, it’s almost therapeutic to fill a pen and capture thoughts using cursive writing in a notebook.

I think they are awesome but I have no interest in using them. I would wash a 200 pen in a 200 shirt pocket and ruin both. Or more likely it would be stolen. If I had a desk job with a desk and desk things I might get a cool old set.
