Yeah, I do have some experience with that, in a secondhand way. I don't want to go crazy so I pretty much haven't tried any of those old things, but we have a variety of pychoactive plants growing around our house. Mainly non-close friends and relatively distant relatives who did try these things and seemed ... weird. So I try not to turn weirder than I already am by trying these crazy things; our ancestors lived in a different kind of society where being weird like that was maybe less unattractive maybe.

All my native type ancestors are really known for are their baskets, and gross acorn mush food, and paddling little canoes for outrageous distances. They REALLY should have invented sails, but I guess they were really into paddling canoe things...

The communists won that last great war, and their propaganda survived and flourished.

wow, so much information in such a little message.

"ancestors lived in a different kind of society where being weird like that was maybe less unattractive maybe."

very good point!

"All my native type ancestors are really known for are their baskets, and gross acorn mush food",

well of course the jewish media wouldnt highlight and "make known" any of the good things your culture did, right? and come on, dont we all know that food tastes best not when you cook it best, but that the most delicious food is always that food you eat when you are REALLY hungry? no chef can emulate that feeling of eating the most simple and natural foods when your body screams for nutrients because your body is exhausted.... bodybuilders experience the same when they eat plain rice and chicken after a workout, cause its just what their body needs after a strong workout. They think it tastes good because it gives them what they need. Fine cuisine is for people who are lazy and weak !!!

what do you think about Carlos Castaneda. many think he is a fraud, yeat also many believe that he is the most accurate description of precolonial shamanism ever recorded...

but yeah, if you dont feel like making your mind shiver through drugs, maybe that just means that your soul has already found who it wants to be, so you are not drawn to the drugs.

good for you!

Hah! Fair points!

I think your assessment of Castaneda is pretty spot-on. Full of shit, yet somehow also insightful sometimes...

I'm vaguely curious about the psychedelics, probably much as you are. They're an intriguing puzzlement; they are not something I myself wish to try right now at least.

oh, i am not curious about psychedelics, i hav etake everything and even too much. yet now that i dont do it anymore, i realize that all the drugs wanted to teach me was that the right way of living was without drugs. kinda strange i know, but... its like: sometimes you have to eat junk-food in order to realize that its better to eat plain potatoes and veggis and meat. you know, like... people who are disconnected from reality have to experience intense things to make them feel reconnected to reality, yet, someone who hasnt lost his connection to the souls of the world, why would he take dangerous drugs to reconnect himself, if he want separated in the first place???

maybe thats soemthing you could tell your cousins... you dont hav eto take the medicine, because you arent sick... psychedelic drugs are only ,eant to reconnect us with our ancestors, IF we have lost the connection. You hav not lost the connection to your ancestors, so you dont have to take drugs,..

on the other hand: you learn somethin erstime you get in touch with the other side, nobody is perfect, and being in connection with your tribe might be more important than being an individual...

i just wish my country had more traditions than beer and bratwurst... XP
