2 bourbon 1/2 black tea & star anise simple syrup 1/2 crème de cassis (I didn't have crème yvette) 1 slice ginger (I used some candied ginger) 1 dash Angostura bitters Fuck the lemon garnish

I muddled the ginger and BTSA simple syrup first, then added ice and stirred everything in.

whenever you can get to it

you can make the black tea & star anise simple syrup yourself; star anise could be hard to get at the spice aisle if your grocery store is small like mine

I'm looking for creme yvette next time I'm at the store, but I think this could be done with any berry liqueur
