2 bourbon 1/2 black tea & star anise simple syrup 1/2 crème de cassis (I didn't have crème yvette) 1 slice ginger (I used some candied ginger) 1 dash Angostura bitters Fuck the lemon garnish

I muddled the ginger and BTSA simple syrup first, then added ice and stirred everything in.

I'm not entirely convinced I'm getting the full Ginger flavor called for, so I'll add more candied ginger and muddle..........harder
