Maybe, i should just "google it", but i'll ask here. hopefully you can point me in the right direction.

i'm in my 50's and have only started drinking in the last couple years. grew up in a non-drinking family and i've only found this to be of any interest now that my kids are older and my career is winding down.

so ... i make a margareta and a basic amaretto sour ... and that's about it. i'd like to expand my repertoire, but i don't know where to start. i'm not a 'bar person', so i don't have anyone to make drinks for me. so, i'm asking here ...

i have no interest in getting drunk or in strong drinks. i've tried, but not enjoyed, whiskey, martini, etc. maybe my taste buds will 'grow up' eventually? :)

i like the above mentioned margareta and amaretto sour because they are a bit sweet, they are over ice, and i can sip one for an hour or two while i read or work.

any suggestions?

I've tired of the Margareta because it is now too sweet for me. Part of what is pushing me to branch out. But, taking small steps.

I like sour things, so yes. And, citrus is always a winner in my book.

Try a Paloma and a Tequila Sunrise to start.

Thank you! I'll do that this week.

I just made Daiquiris tonight ... based on what Fumduck recommended ... really enjoyed it.

I'll be trying the Paloma next.

Thank you again for your direction.
