Is it worth buying a capsule coffee machine? The producers claim that since their capsules are sealed, the coffee is always fresh. If somebody tried it, can you confirm?

No. A French Press is what you want.

No dude. Just get a stainless steel percolator.

This is the correct answer. No filters required, grind yer own, it's the cheap way to do coffee right

Yes!!! Keurig. Get yourself a reusable filter cup.

It is never fresh and it tastes like plastic. We gave our machine away to someone we don't like. (ok I will tell you; my sister, fuck that bitch)

I like my kuerig but I use a refillable pod. I like my coffee strong and the refillable pod will hold enough grounds to get me what I seek.

I've tried them. They're pretty darn good. Idk how economical it is but as far as freshness, A+

We have a french press and a Keurig. I try to avoid using the Keurig as much as possible because I don't love the idea of running boiling water through cheap plastic and then drinking it.

I have a french press and a coffee grinder. I buy whole beans and grind them myself. That is a great way to ensure fresh coffee, as the hard outer shell of the beans keeps the freshness inside. Fresh ground coffee smells and tastes amazing. It does take wayyy longer than the Keurig which is why I still sometimes drink the cancer coffee, but I try to use the french press as much as possible.

They charge you out the ass for the tiny improvement in convenience. Unless it's for a public office or something, it isn't worth it at all

I like the ease of use, but I do not own one. My parents have a 2:1 machine that has the capsule part and a normal brew w/carafe part. They use the brew for mornings and then the pods for the rest of the time.

I like the chai tea pods, though I add coffee for a dirty chai.

Full disclosure: I have the Breville Barista Express because COVID. Though mainly because I love coffee.

We've had two of them, but I don't think they make very good coffee. It tastes watered down to me. I mean, it's tolerable, but we chucked them out. We use a two dollar plastic pour over, and grind the beans just before. Consistent, and tastes proper.

No, they suck. It's a stupid gimmick and you will pay 3x as much for your coffee per pound. You will also end up with a weak cup of coffee every time no matter what setting you use.
