I read an article about this long ago which interviewed an architect or engineer. He was pushing back on these structures because he did not like them, and the are rather expensive additions which had no function. He was told by the boss to drop it and include the towers. Towers are a nutter conspiracy until they are not. I will be nervous when I see air conditioning and windows added. Maybe I should start a specialty firm dedicated to guard tower retrofit. We will add AC, one way glass, spot lights, elevator, and a bullet resistant catwalk for riflemen...
