Those are Victorian batteries. they will generate an electrical charge. now will that set off the powder? Or will the next generation be coil guns and they want a casing that will be interchangeable with those. I suspect the latter. I suspect that the first military grade coil guns will fire an inert Victorian battery, that will be made in a similar fashion to these rounds, but with the right platform be a silent hypersonic weapon.
