You are not the first person to believe that, "they wanted him gone, not necessarily dead" but then this is jews we're talking about, they wanted him dead.
I can definitely buy this for sure.
Some believe the driver shot Kennedy (the shot where Kennedy jerks toward the back of the car) because the first shot didn't kill him. Secret Service was part of the conspiracy. Several were changed out/left behind at the airport because they weren't in on it.
I definitely used to believe the CIA was 100% out to get him and kill him, I really think in a more realistic sense, they honestly just fucked up and given the time period, they just covered it up to prevent from looking like fools especially during the arms race and space race against the soviets. It was all a ruse to maintain power. They definitely knew about Oswald before the incident yet did absolutely nothing to prevent it. Think about the pearl harbor letter. Hell, even the entire trump attempt recently.
I agree. Oswald was for sure a patsy. Witnesses placed him at some vending machines when Kennedy was shot and the police had Oswald's picture and was showing it to people looking for him. Pretty fucking fast. But since the SS just had a president die of course the immediate reaction was not to solve the murder, but to cover up their fuck up.
Interesting book called Coup in Dallas. Its a slog to get through, though
