Just really starting to think they didnt really plan it more so, they either let it happen to serve their interests (they got lucky) or they fucked up on accident and just wanted to save face during the time especially during the cold war so they did a bunch of cover ups over time to keep it a secret to prevent looking weak. Domino effect of secrecy. Like telling a bunch of lies just to cover up the initial lie. Instead, they didn't lie, they just didn't want the world to know the best agency in the world failed to protect it's own leader. Oh and something about Jews I'm sure.

I agree. Oswald was for sure a patsy. Witnesses placed him at some vending machines when Kennedy was shot and the police had Oswald's picture and was showing it to people looking for him. Pretty fucking fast. But since the SS just had a president die of course the immediate reaction was not to solve the murder, but to cover up their fuck up.
