I dont have a recipe but a method. Get a turkey brine kit. Most supermarkets have them this time of year. You brine the whole turkey for 24 hours before the day you cook it. Drain turkey, pat dry. Season with your fav seasonings. Heavy on the seasoning. Then put on a smoker at 200 or so degrees for about 8 hours, or until done.

Even if you dont smoke your turkey get a brine kit. Holy shit thats the secret to tender moist turkey.

second the brine. Makes turkey amazing, cooked anyhow. I have done several brined turkeys, oven, grill, deep fried. All came out better than without the brine.

3rd the brine... you can DRY BRINE too. Look it up.

I have bees, so I usually do a honey brine and then smoke it. The important part is getting the salt into the bird, the seasonings and aromatics come later.

I've looked into brining. Add anything? Herbs, spices, etc

Most brine kits come with a packet of salt and seasonings. I just season the turkey after the brining with... Shit I have a large spice collection. Honestly what ever you like just use. I have never went wrong with a seasoning.

Brining can be a pain because the turkey needs to stay cold. I use a cooler of ice, outside. It keeps it cold for 24 hours.

Equal parts Smirnoff vodka, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Kahlua over crushed ice. Serve with political discussion.

And when you wake up with a severe hangover the next morning, a properly made Irish coffee is like a black magic healing potion.
