I think you meant an "Easy Bake Oven" instead of a Betty Crocker oven.

The simple answer is no. An air fryer has a much higher heat capacity than the child's toy and can cook more kinds of food. Easy Bake ovens have modified recipes that allow for the pre-packaged recipes to bake at lower temperatures and therefore cannot use regular cake or cookie recipes with proper results. So no, they are not the same.

Well of course the food won't have to be modified if you have adults handling it and you're not using a light bulb as the heat source but bottom line... it's just a tiny oven, right? What can you do in it that you can't do in an oven?

What can you do in it that you can't do in an oven?

It has forced air convection and the heater much closer to the food so you can cook and brown foods much faster than a conventional oven. Depending on the type of air fryer, you can also use it as an indoor grill for meats which will definitely come out better than a regular oven could do. It also consumes about half the power of a full size electric oven so you're not increasing your electric bill as much too.

Modern Easy Bake ovens use an electric heating element since incandescent bulbs are no longer abundant on the market.

The statement "an air fryer is just a Easy Bake Oven for adults" is a fun little snarky sentiment. But as with many insults, veiled or overt, it has enough truth to make it feel correct but it's actually just plain wrong.

The one is a children's toy for making deserts from recipe packets created specifically for that purpose, plus some water and the application of relatively low heat. This is cooking in the same sense that paint-by-numbers is art.

An air fryer OTOH allows you to prepare a meal from a variety of raw ingredients. That it improves some aspects of the cooking process is the result of application of technologies, engineering, and design. This is not the same as making something childish. High temperatures are involved which means it's suitable for adult use only. We've never seen a children's toy version of a deep fryer for a very good reason.

Well maybe your mother makes you nothing but Chicken Tendies but everyone I know uses their air fryer for things like chicken breasts, or steak, or fresh cut home fries. Of course you can use it to make shit food if you want to but that also applies to a microwave or an oven and I don't hear you shitting on those. Your argument is moronic.
