It has forced air convection and the heater much closer to the food so you can cook and brown foods much faster than a conventional oven. Depending on the type of air fryer, you can also use it as an indoor grill for meats which will definitely come out better than a regular oven could do. It also consumes about half the power of a full size electric oven so you're not increasing your electric bill as much too.
