My ZX-81 had FAST mode which clocked its Z-80 at 4 times the CoCo's MC6809E clock speed. I also bought the 16K expansion pack for it shortly after so I matched you in RAM and beat you in clock speed.

The earliest Z80s ran at 2.5MHz which was already 3x the clock speed of the 6809s 800kHz.

You could force the CoCo to go into overclock mode at the cost of the video. Bet you didn't have a floppy disk drive tho.

Ah yes, the high speed POKE. You could use the floppy drive in high speed, but the data would not be readable if you saved in high speed mode.
