It means that the Ukraine used up to 6.000 shells per day and the Russians more than 50.000 shells. The Russians have the perfect logistics with fright trains from the factories direct to the front lines while NATO tries to collect and transport tons of shells from different locations. Most likely they are now down to 2-3.000 shells per day while the Russians could keep the high numbers.

I think that these are the numbers US intelligence community presented to the politicians. The intelligence community has their own agenda. For example, they have told Trump that there are no US soldiers left in Syria. For them, politicians come and go and the end justifies the means.
It's all propaganda. But people choose to believe the parts they want. All we know for sure is a war is going on and people are dying. No one has any way of knowing who is "winning". If your estimation of 15 times more Ukrainian dead it's one of the most one sided wars in recorded history. Numbers like that are unheard of since roman legions came up against disorganised tribes.

Good comparison. The Russians are leading in electronic warfare and have cut the communication to the front lines, leaving the Ukrainian soldiers headless. Every use of radio communication or a satellite dish gets answered by a GLONASS-guided Krasnopol round.
Russias method is the same as every war. Throw people at the front line and outlast their opponent. Only time will tell if it works this time
