Numbers like that are unheard of since roman legions came up against disorganised tribes.
Good comparison. The Russians are leading in electronic warfare and have cut the communication to the front lines, leaving the Ukrainian soldiers headless. Every use of radio communication or a satellite dish gets answered by a GLONASS-guided Krasnopol round.
Russias method is the same as every war. Throw people at the front line and outlast their opponent. Only time will tell if it works this time
Vadim Pristaiko, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, said during an interview with the British newspaper Daily Express: "It has been our policy from the start not to discuss our losses (…) When the war is over, we will acknowledge this. I think it will be a horrible number".
So let's wait until it's over. It took one year to reduce the Ukrainian army by two thirds, so maybe we don't have to wait until next year.
