Oh man, it has probably been 30 years since I played that game. I'm pretty sure this is a screen grab from the SNES version as it was 1 player only and there is no "insert coin" on the top right.

It's the contracted form of "au revoir monsieur le ambassadeur", but the non-conctracted form is gramatically false, so there's only the contracted form...
If I would have spoken it, it would have come out correctly. When I write anything in French now, it is painfully obvious that I don't think in French at all, and were it any longer than 4 words, I'm sure you would hear the English thoughts forming the sentence and basically translating word for word. A great example of use it or lose it.
