I have bought and held, never sold. I have thought about the day that I decide to sell. I was thinking I'd sell locally and only one coin at a time to try to avoid the Federal tax of 28% on gains. I doubt I'll ever sell. My beneficiaries will benefit, they are 100% vested if they inherit collectibles or precious metals and will avoid the gains tax that I will have to pay if I sell.
