Where I'm at, if you were to get the full unemployment amount plus the $600 kicker, you'd be making enough for a family of 4 to be not-hungry, assuming you didn't have a $2,000 mortgage payment and 2 car payments. I think it goes to show that a lot of jobs simply aren't providing sustainable income when it comes down to the wire.
