They started on the east coast. I saw them in Pennsylvania, and PA extension services have been warning about them for a few years, 4 or 5. Looks like they've migrated west. Next year, or maybe the following, Ohio will likely be inundated.

Currently, they think a lot of the migration is along major highways. Hitching rides on cars. I-76 would take them all the way across the country.
