Today was supposed to be the entire state of Ohio doing a tornado drill.
Sirens here get tested weekly, so it was just a few hours earlier than normal.
Ah. I didn't realize that. Thank you. Either I was not paying attention, was distracted and missed it, or ours is broken.
Also, weekly? That so frequent that it seems to make the point of having it moot as in the event there is a tornado, people might just figure it was time for that week's test or they're so used to hearing it that they tune it out and don't even notice it going off. The point of not hearing it going off all the time is so that people will pay attention when they do hear it.
It's every Wednesday at noon, so you know when it's supposed to happen. Usually, tho, if there's been an activation or there could be (tornado watch) then the siren test will be cancelled.
