It's a facility that will do work if it needs to. That means it could be sitting idol for most of the time. I am sure work will be done there all the time but the all these jobs the state is banking on won't happen. Maybe 300-400, at the most created?
Modern fabs are decently automated. I suspect there would be more contract maintenance people and contract support people there than actual Intel employees, similar to how Honda works here.
I've met plenty of people who have worked AT the Honda plant, but very few people that have worked FOR Honda.
Good point. The biggest thing out at Honda is the assembly line plant but there is also an R&D lab there. Everyone I know who has been through Honda is a contractor.
Yeah, the R&D is in Raymond. I get calls all the time for that place, they pay shit and expect your undying loyalty.
