Hi, i have a problem with my PC, just wondering if anyone here could help. I am testing my power supply with a multi meter pin 20 on the manual says the volts should be -5 volts, i am getting a +5 volts could this be the cause of my problems?. Pin 14 says -12 volts which does read -12 volts on the meter so - volts is a valid reading.

Pin 20 isn't supposed to be connected.

Hmm, ok i will check that out. I will see if there is a pin matching that on my Mother board

IIRC -5V is not used anymore (used by ISA cards, old DRAM and floppy disks) and was removed from the ATX12V 1.3 and later specifications.
