Blast from the past like it was just yesterday! In the early 1980s we were often building our own ATE (because there were no off the shelf solutions available at the time) and occasionally used EPROMS, etc. in the design. We had a few programmers, eventually created loadboard/fixture/software solutions on our existing ATE to automate the process and remove as much human error as possible. I think all of our old programmers/board stuff went in the trash by 1995 ... or was sent offshore with "downsizing" as a result of Bill Clinton opening the doors to offshoring our sacred Mil/Aero manufacturing ... fuck National security. I voted for Ross Perot in 1992 BTW.
