Actually a little iodine does make some people feel energetic.
However, happiness is not an end goal. That kind of thinking is the problem. Even if you were to achieve happiness, by its mature, it is, essentially, a fleeting feeling. There is no possible way to be permanently happy unless you are lobotomized.
Seeking contentment is a lot more productive of a quest. Find contentment, then plan for bursts of happiness.
Also, creating a lasting legacy is also going to contribute to your sense of fulfillment.
Write a book. Make a coffee table book. Record an album. Create a real estate trust for your kids. Whatever it is... leave a legacy.
Also... quit drinking jew juice. Alcohol is always bad for you. Sofa is always bad for you. Anything other than water, basically, is designed to poison you or your mind in some way.
Making and tweaking cocktails is one of the things that I get the most enjoyment out of. So that's out, sorry.
Gave up soda years ago.
