Smartphones are the same thing, but you take them with you everywhere.
Kikes have nothing left to invent to spy on and try to access our children
Who in their right mind would put a camera in their daughters bedroom? Any camera, for any reason. Dumb fucks.
I use to do canvassing during an state election and had to visit these neighborhoods that were purely fucking creepy HOAs. What made it worse is that every single home in these HOA neighborhoods had those Ring camera systems installed on the door. Being my curious self, I asked one of the homeowners about it and he explained that the HOA in the SW Houston area made it a requirement to have it installed to deter theft in the area even though it was a gated community w/private security of homes that cost around 50-80k.
He even explained that one of his neighbors was evicted after attempting to deactivate the Ring camera system in his home.
Fucking creepy shit. A HOA that provides private security for a gated community that is in a area with virtually no crime. Deactivating or attempting to deactivate the Ring system will get you fucking evicted. Fuck.
WTF!!!
That is what I'm thinking. This Ring system along with Alexa is fucked beyond imagination. The more I see this shit going on, the more I want to ban anything to do with that spy crap. I rather arm myself with a firearm and rig my house Home Alone style than having that machine with NSA tech in my house.
Come to think of it, everything makes fucking sense now. I see what is going on. The reason of why the push of banning firearms and the 1st Amendment along with the push of Alexa, 5G (purely military reasons), and the installation of Ring security systems onto us.
I wanted ring for the home myself, but I decided against it. I couldn't stand this type of stuff and people have been saying this for a couple of years now at least.
Right now I have a 4k camera that does fine plus I have a trail cam to as well, but I want to get a second trail cam that records in 1080p that I could set up permanently to watch my home. All I have to do is set it up on the front door and basically the upstairs at the same time. It will record me every time I walk past it for 15 seconds or so unless I tell it to record for 30 seconds or so, but I won't have to hassle with it for a couple of months or so each time if not longer than that. All I have to do is remove the 64 GB mini sd card and delete everything (unless something happens). It probably will last me 5-6 months each time though.
I think a trail cam is honestly the best way to go right now for home security or to me personally. I just have to get another 1080p one and they are easy to set up. It doesn't have WI-FI itself and even then if it did I probably could create a custom faraday cage (DIY) at that point to go around it to prevent anyone from connecting to it and such. I prefer not to have WI-FI on any my home security devices for now at least though or any of my trail cams for that matter. As long as it's 1080p and can capture a face really well and/or a home break in for that matter.
Ignoring the fact that these devices were designed to spy on you and gather data to sell it... The CIA gave a $600m contract to Amazon, coincidentally about the same time that they began pushing smart devices heavily.
If you leave all that information aside, the IoT (Internet of Things) is just a train wreck from a security standpoint. You don't need a refrigerator with internet access and a touch screen. Once they stop issuing updates and patches for it 18 months from now, the thing is going to become a botnet. This has happened over and over and over and over with all kinds of internet-connected devices. Anyone who continues to buy this crap is not paying attention to the problem. And anyone who knows about security doesn't have any of that crap anywhere near them.
Once again XKCD comes to the rescue with: https://xkcd.com/1966/ And this discussion would not be complete without the classic: https://i.redd.it/cz9vaej8tqd21.jpg
If you want to use unsecure devices, get a separate wifi-router. That isolates your personal devices (since they are on another network). It will not protect agains microphones and semsors though..
You don't need to. Just disable uPNP and add appropriate Deny rules in your router's firewall.
