I am not a paid shill. I am somebody who is capable with their hands advocate for others to be as well. Hence why I suggest a process instead of a solution. I am not going to read any articles. I know how to replace batteries and screens and component parts on any tablet or phone.
I am not going to read any articles.
Because they challenge your point of view, right?
Sorry. I don't like taking a device apart (and possibly ruin water resistance in the process and induce other damage) just to replace one expiring component that is supposed to be replaceable.
Also, non-replaceable batteries allow vendors to implement shady tricks such as hardware locks (see iPhone 12). And it will only get worse with time.
Replaceable batteries provide certainty, convenience and a sense of ownership.
Battery replacements should be trivial, not risky and unpredictable surgeries.
OK. Whatever you say pal. Keep screaming in the corner about how life is unfair. Its going to get you far.
You have not refuted my arguments.
