Fun engines til one of their failure points pops.

Which failure point is that?

DD a 8 for seven years.

1) Apex seals fail and usually it's not if it's when.

2) If ya don't redline them regularly you'll build up deposits around the seals and basically choke the engine to death. Also why you never buy one in a stick as it limits rpms to 5.5 which still hasn't hit the power. It's like right at where the horsepower is.

3) They can flood easy if you still them at a cold start or only drive down the block. You can fix this yourself but it is a pain in the ass.

4) Overheating and just by a little bit can warp the rotor housing forcing a rebuild.

5) Has to run on premium or you run the risk of fucking the engine up.

6) You'll be changing your laser iridium spark plugs at least once a year and if you don't you'll build up gunk in the engine.

Still hands down my favorite engine and cars. When it bites back it does so and hard.
