I know you can get a refurbished Alienware with a RTX 3090 for the price of the card in it, so that doesn't surprise me.

The pricing stupidity reminds me of a guy a knew a few years back. He saved up enough to buy a farm in the middle of no where and just wanted to get away from everyone. The farm had a dilapidated old barn on the property that he was going to tear down because it had already partially collapsed. It was poorly constructed but had three huge posts going across the ceiling. Each post was solid wood (oak maybe?) and something like 8"x20"x35'. A company paid him like $20k to come out with a crane and take the three pieces of wood. He only paid like $50k for the whole property including the barn. The original owner probably cut down and shaped those beams himself with a chainsaw and a dollar or two worth of gas.
