Same argument applies. When you live in a world where 80 IQ is common operating a forklift becomes a complex task which requires several years of operant conditioning.

The argument is quite simple. It takes time to build a skilled crew that operates well together. You cannot simply lose a team and expect to replace it without incurring considerable cost. It takes many years of systemic demoralization to trick skilled employees into accepting their stagnating wages.

Also as someone who interviewed at Amazon, let me be the first to say they will never be able to backfill those positions without having to severely decrease the interview requirements
