Vlc is great software and I have been using for ages, but for video. It has no problem with audio, but it's limited in audio features. Like just the other day I realized there is no pan feature to pan from left and right stereo channels in VLC. AIMP is exclusively for audio playing. It's visually more appealing. It can convert between audio formats. It has the Winamp feel. Aimp also has a mobile version. Definitely the best audio mobile app out there

Thanks. I'll look into it. I rarely do more then hit play these days but it may still be good to have. It's not as if HD space is as precious as it used to be like in the Winamp days.
