The USB standards is a mess that makes my brain melt. There are so many standards about the speed for data and charge time that you need to do a research before buying anything related to USB. For example, I bought headphones with USB recharge port. I am just lucky that my computer has the right USB, otherwise It would be impossible to recharge them. My computer has 4 USB ports, but only 1 is compatible with my headphones. I still don't know if corporations are owned by idiots, or by perverts who like to fuck with customers.

I still run Win7 on my laptop and after an update about 2 years before it was EOLd my Bose bluetooth headphones stopped working. Turns out the updated driver cut off the low power mode for my chipset. Can't find the old driver for it. It was Microsoft's replacement for the original laptop's chipset which is legacy. But Microsoft updated their replacement driver and I can't find the one that would make my low power bluetooth headphones work.

sorry, I thought I was on the Bose site , try at your own risk., I never use drivers other than the manufacturer site provided drivers.

the point is that you can't even trust the drivers, much less the standards

are you fucking kidding me? I spent like 3 days trying to fix this when it happened. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Though I rarely use my bluetooth headphones on my laptop anymore since all the crap with cafes and restaurants for the last 2 years
